How can I contol width and padding of menu with menu responsive?

Q: It looks like it is not possible to control the horizontal width of the menu items, nor control the padding on your CSS Menuing software. If so, this makes a menu that is too wide for the topics that presently fit my 1000px width specification. I presently am using regular and mouse-over images of different widths for my main navigation bar and all topics fit in the 1000px horizontal space.

Is it possible to control the width and padding on individual main menu topics?

A: The width of the menu item depends on its content. Unfortunately, it's impossible to control the width of individual element, but you can set the width of whole menu.
You can try to edit individual elements manually in generated HTML and CSS code.
